On Tuesday 17th May 2014 Falmouth police officers along with the assistance of regional officers, trading standards, customs and excise, VOSA and other agencies were carrying out random vehicle stop checks in Penryn.
A total of 97 vehicles were stopped with numerous offences found.
15 vehicles were found with faults ranging from bold tyres to faulty lights, 2 vehicles stopped were running on red diesel, 2 vehicles seized for no insurance and drivers reported, 1 disqualified driver, 1 driver without a licence, 2 persons found in possession of cannabis, 3 vehicles without MOT.
All in all a good days work with more operations planned.
